The White House released a statement released early Wednesday morning on the Philadelphia events and said that the government is ready to mobilize federal resources upon request to bring the violence to a halt.
The statement was issued after the second night of looting and protests in Philadelphia for the police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr., 27, Monday afternoon after he waved a knife at police.

The White House statement highlights the difficulties that law enforcement officials must face in their work. “Law enforcement is an incredibly dangerous occupation, and thousands of officers have given their lives in the line of duty”.
However, it holds that the incidents that have occurred must be thoroughly investigated in order to find objective answers. “All lethal force incidents must be fully investigated. The facts must be followed wherever they lead to ensure fair and just results.”

The Trump administration also said that the White House is “prepared to deploy” federal resources to stop the unrest in the city. “In America we resolve conflicts through the courts and the justice system. We can never allow mob rule. The Trump administration stands proudly with law enforcement, and stands ready, upon request, to deploy any and all Federal Resources to end these riots.”
Alyssa Farah, the White House communications director, said on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday. “President Trump will not tolerate any violence directed at America’s law enforcement. And, look, the actual case, we’re going to let the facts play out, let the investigation play out, but we will not tolerate lawlessness in our streets.”
