Language access for all
Citizens for Language Access is a table of voting and immigrant rights organizations. For these organizations, US Citizen Immigrants are an essential part of the United State’s civic and political fabric.
Citizens for Language Access represent over 15 language minority communities in Philadelphia. Together with the City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs is working to ensure language access as a right. The purpose is to eliminate language as a barrier to exercise the fundamental right to vote.
The event will also highlight the positive role multilingual poll workers can serve on election day. Also, itt will provide a forum for state and local elections officials to continue collaboration with US citizen immigrant communities on expanding language access going forward.
