The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, organized by Hispanic Media, is one of those evenings that brings together leaders, professionals, business owners, artists, and community representatives year after year to honor the contributions of the Latino community in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. This year’s gala will be hosted by Karen Paba and Jenny Rafeh, two women with different professional backgrounds whose stories are connected by entrepreneurship, leadership, and a commitment to their communities.
Karen Paba: Beauty, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment
Karen Paba is a Venezuelan entrepreneur, cosmetologist, and influencer based in Florida. A cover personality for ESTYLO Magazine, she operates from Coral Gables with a business focused on beauty, permanent makeup, and skincare, combining advanced aesthetics, technology, and wellness.
Her entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in her Venezuelan heritage and shaped by a vision centered on entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment. Through her work, she seeks to present beauty as a tool for personal transformation while keeping each individual’s identity and essence at the heart of her approach.

Jenny Rafeh: Education and Community Services
Jenny Rafeh was born in Venezuela to Syrian parents who immigrated to the United States when she was 14. She grew up in Pennsylvania and maintains a strong connection to her Latina identity.
She holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health from Alvernia University. Throughout her career, she has worked as an interpreter, teaching assistant, and first-grade teacher. Her experience across different professional fields eventually led her into entrepreneurship.
Jenny Rafeh is the host of the Latin Vibes Podcast. She has been featured on the cover of Latinas Lifestyle and is currently the owner of Executive Multiservices, a firm that provides services related to civil and immigration paperwork, translation, and processes such as obtaining an ITIN. She is also the owner of South Philly Home Care, which provides in-home care solutions for older adults.

Jenny Rafeh, nacida en Venezuela e hija de padres sirios que emigraron a Estados Unidos cuando ella tenía 14 años, creció en Pennsylvania y mantiene un fuerte vínculo con su identidad latina.
Es licenciada en Justicia Penal y Salud del Comportamiento por Alvernia University y durante su trayectoria trabajó como intérprete, subprofesora y docente de primer grado. Su experiencia en distintos ámbitos profesionales desembocó también en el emprendimiento.
Jenny Rafeh es presentadora de Latin Vibes Podcast. Ha sido portada de Latinas Lifesyle y actualmente es propietaria de Executive Multiservices, firma que ofrece servicios relacionados con trámites civiles y migratorios, traducciones y gestiones como el ITIN. También es propietaria de South Philly Home Care, dedicada a ofrecer soluciones de cuidado en el hogar para adultos mayores.
