Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris is campaign in Philadelphia Thursday afternoon. Harris is expected to attend the “Sister to Sister, Mobilizing in Action” conversation hosted by She Can Win, a group dedicated to empowering women. Harris held a similar event in Michigan earlier this month.
She will also join in a community conversation with local Latino leaders. This is Kamala Harris first trip to the city since her nomination as Democratic vice president.

Harris’ appearance in Philly will come as Biden visits Scranton for a CNN town hall. Moderated by Anderson Cooper, the town hall will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday. The event will have a socially-distanced audience.
Biden has spent a significant amount of his presidential campaign in Pennsylvania. He most recently visited the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville to mark 9/11.

The Democratic vice presidential candidate, visited a flower shop in northwest Philadelphia Thursday morning. She also met Representative Dwight Evans in the West Oak Lane neighborhood to greet florist Paulette Beale Harris, whose establishment is on Ogontz Avenue.
Kamala Harris then spoke with some residents who gathered along the avenue. She then went to Relish, a restaurant nearby that is well-known in the northwest part of the city.
