The Dare to Go Beyond Performing Arts ( D2GB) summer camp of the R.Evolución Latina organization seeks to connect Broadway artists with children in the Latino and Hispanic community.
Art is one of the most effective tools to establish a constructive relationship with society and culture. Artists are the soul of a country; it is thanks to them that nations breathe, especially during difficult times.
This program aims to give children and teenagers from the Hispanic community in the United States and Latin America the opportunity to enter the world of art and learn from Broadway experts, telemundo47.com reported.
“We want to help our children and adolescents, through art, to catharsis from a difficult experience that has struck all of humanity. We want to be a bridge for our children to transmute those experiences and discover new skills through art,” said Luis Salgado, founder and director of R.Evolución Latina.
One of the main goals of the camp is to serve as a platform for children of more than 20 nationalities to tell their stories and experiences of the pandemic through music, dance and theater. The children have the opportunity to sing, dance, act, write and create from their homes. With this initiative, R.Evolución Latina seeks to reach is reaching children throughout the Americas to unite them through the performing arts.

The Dare To Go Beyond Performing Arts Camp is back with one week of performing arts classes focused this year’s theme, Reconnect with Your Roots.
This year the camp will be offered virtually from July 26 to July 30. “After last year’s success of having more than 200 children from nine countries connected virtually, we decided to once again provide this opportunity for children in Latin America to have the experience of connecting with New York City and the United States. We hope to make this virtual experience a permanent one, just as we hope to return to face-to-face activities in 2022,” said Denisse Ambert, director of R.Evolución Latina.
Unite children
As reported by revolucionlatina.org, children will have the chance to sing, dance, act, write, create from their homes, and connect with teachers in different ways. “We are reaching out to children from all over the Americas to unite children from different backgrounds. The inclusivity and diversity of the D2GB camp continue to be an essential part of how we share respect for others and an opportunity to expose children to different stories.”
According to revolucionlatina.org, participants learn these important life principles while being empowered through the arts: Respect, teamwork, commitment, leadership and self-awareness.
