A night of music, acknowledgments and salsa will mark the forty-fifth anniversary celebration of the Philadelphia´s Taller Puertorriqueño, a nonprofit organization that works with arts education programs, socially oriented art exhibits, book readings and events to enhance the “Perla del Caribe” culture.
The party will take place on December 14 at the superb Corazon Cultural Center 2600 N. 5th Street. It will be a memorable evening that will highlight the tenacity of the Workshop to preserve our cultural presence in Philadelphia.
Also the opportunity will be suitable to honor the work and dedication of Romulo Díaz (Romy) for his tenacious work in the city of Philadelphia.
Romy holds the position of Vice President & Legal Counsel of PECO Energy Co. He is also on the board of directors of Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others. However, it is in his role as mentor, advocate, and promoter of our community that Romy has captured the hearts of Philly Latinos and especially those of the Taller Puerorriqueño.
This Latin party will be enlivened by the Tino Serrano Orchestra and the salsa singer Anthony Colón.
