As part of its commitment to exalt the most precious values of the great Latino family, Hispanic Media Editorial Group paid on Friday, October 1, a well-deserved tribute to important personalities and organizations that have contributed with tenacity and effort to the development of Philadelphia.
The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, an event that has become a tradition in the City of Brotherly Love, recognized the trajectories of those who have been the protagonists of success stories, personal narratives marked by perseverance and hard work that open the paths to a prosperous future.
The elegant premises of the Live! Casino were the setting for this exciting and long-awaited celebration.

As part of the Hispanic Heritage Month, Hispanic Media recognized the achievements and contributions of a select group of leaders who are models of success for citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
The awardees
The award ceremony was presented by Lissy G, Advisory Board at Hispanic Media. It began with the conferring of the Crystal Award to The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and the Spanish American Law Enforcement Association (SALEA). Both organizations were honored under the institutional category.

The event went on with the awarding of Bruce Datil, Allstate Insurance Agency Owner; Adonis Banegas, Executive Director of El Concilio; and Darryl Irizarry Jr., Director of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances at PHLCVB who were honored with the Crystal Award.

The Heritage Award was bestowed on Omar Sabir, City Commissioner of Philadelphia.
The awards ceremony was completed with the presentation of the Achiever of the Year Award to Sulma Dalessio, Director of Field and Meter Maintenance for Philadelphia Electric Company, PECO.

The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala was gratified by the participation of important sponsor representatives. José Aguirre, Government Affairs Manager at PECO;Tiffany Delgado-Bickley, Behavioral Health Medicine Program Coordinator at Jefferson; and Mireya Lumbreras, Public Relations and Partnerships Specialist at Goya Foods reaffirmed their support for Hispanic Media’s effort to highlight the Latino leadership in the city.

Among the participants were Councilmember David Oh and Comission on Latino Affairs Executive Director, Luz Colón who were responsible for the Proclamations.
Ricardo Hurtado, President and CEO at Hispanic Media expressed his satisfaction for the organization of this significant event, which in each edition reaffirms his commitment to build meeting spaces that allow the consolidation of the highest values of the Hispanic identity.

Important partners such as Goya Foods were key part of the Hispanic Heritage Month Gala. Organizations such as Jefferson Health, PECO Energy Company, Hispanic Community Counseling Services, Einstein Healthcare Network, Tierra Colombiana Restaurant, Angelic Home Care Agency, Viva Care Solutions and Distribution Advertising Services (D.A.S) also supported the distinguished event.
The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala closed this year´s edition with the participation of Timokha Entertainment and Dance & Dj Music, who were in charge of closing joyfully this meaningful celebration of common roots, values and cultural ties that unite the productive Hispanic community.
