His criticism focused on causing the sinking of the stock market and the treatment of matters concerning the Federal Reserve as if it were a personal war.
This last indication is reinforced by the possibility that Jerome Powell, who serves as president of the Fed , may be relieved of his office for having raised the interest rates in recent days. The president has proposed this possibility due to his disagreement with such increases.
With regard to the government shutdown, the failure to reach an agreement on the approval of the budget has caused the closure of 25% of the Administration since last Friday. The main obstacle to achieve the unlocking of the opposing positions in this discussion lies in the Democrats’ denial of the $ 5 billion requested by Donald Trump for the construction of the border wall. The proposal of the blue party consists in protecting the border with a budget item of $1, 3 billion.
Chuck Summer and Nancy Pelosi consider difficult to reach a short-term agreement to end this partial closure due to the lack of unified criteria in the White House. According to them, it is hard to identify a solid and tangible position amid different positions voiced by different people.
