Hispanic Media will honor Richard Negrin, Vice President of Regulatory Policy and Strategy at ComEd, with the distinguished Heritage Award 2019 in recognition of his experience and valuable contribution to the community for his important work in the public and private sectors.
The prestigious award ceremony will be held as part of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and will take place on Friday, October 18, during the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, event organized by Hispanic Media at the glamorous Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.
This recognition honors Mr. Richard Negrin’s extraordinary career and invaluable contribution to the creation of leadership and innovation strategies. In the same way, this award highlights its significant support in the consolidation of ethical values related to diversity and community participation.

It is important that we come together to celebrate our progress as a people. I can’t wait to return to my beloved City of Brotherly Love”, he expressed upon knowing his distinction.
Mr. Negrin directs the development of Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) regulatory policies and strategies and has fostered through Project Jumpstart a values-based approach to leadership that empowers the workforce of the future.
He also served as City Manager and Deputy Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, spearheading high-profile initiatives that created the City’s first Center of Excellence, designed to provide a central resource for best practices around Project Management, Organizational Development and Performance Management.
In 2018, Mr. Negrin served as Partner and Chairman of the General Counsel Group at the law firm Obermayer.
