The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), Philadelphia chapter, announced the election of Vanessa Caracoza as its new president for the 2024-2026 term.
In this new role, Caracoza will lead ALPFA in its commitment to promoting the careers and impact of Latino professionals across various industries. Her strategic vision, experience, and passion for diversity, as well as inclusion and representation, align seamlessly with the association’s mission to create opportunities and foster leadership within the Latino community.
Eneida Roman, President and CEO of Amplify Latinx, and a member of the ALPFA National Board, was responsible for announcing Caracoza’s appointment as the new president of the Philadelphia chapter.

Caracoza has been an active board member of ALPFA Philadelphia for three years and is an experienced leader in city government with a commitment to serving the most vulnerable communities.
Currently serving as Deputy Executive Director for the Office of City Commissioners for the City of Philadelphia, she leads strategic planning, establishment of ten County Elections Offices, and expansion of mail-in-ballot drop locations in Philadelphia. Vanessa plays a critical role in advancing the mission of increasing equitable voting access and participation. Throughout her career, she has championed impactful initiatives that have raised the voice and presence of Latinos throughout the city of Philadelphia.

Following her appointment, Caracoza expressed her excitement, honor, and enthusiasm to assume the role of president of the Philadelphia chapter. “ALPFA plays a crucial role in supporting and uplifting Latino professionals locally and nationally, and I am eager for this new role that will expand our collective success.”
