Fernando Mendez.- Let’s not forget that Donald Trump ran on a platform of discord and that as a candidate he threatened not to accept the results of the election if he lost. As president, feeling that there is a growing sense of discontent with his government that may lead to a defeat in the midterm elections, he is threatening violence by those who support him. There is pressure all around the president, from his own legal team, from the courts, from the media, from his own Justice Department, and the way he is reacting shows that he is not prepared to deal with the looming crisis. The most recent newspapers headlines reveal a man under siege claiming that what is being said or written about the White House in the midst of chaos is “fake news.” At every opportunity the president will tell his audiences that the way he is portrayed in the news is wrong. His White House, according to Trump is “a well-oiled machine.” His recent assertion that Chine hacked Hillary Clinton’s email has been refuted by the FBI. Trump accused Google of not promoting his State of the Union address as they did for Obama. Googled responded that they had indeed covered the Sate of the Union address. His tweet on South Africa was wrong. Then he accused Attorney General Sessions of not taking control of the Justice Department, only to have Sessions issue a surprisingly strong response telling the president that he did take control fo the Justice Department from day one. What has Trump unsigned now is the fact that John McCain is been honored in death as an American hero. The reality show that he is running is spinning out of control. This self-declared stable genius is heading towards disaster.
