A 13-year-old teen boy died days after being shot, according to authorities. He was sitting in a parked car in West Philadelphia.
The shooting occurred in the 4900 block of Hoopes Street on Monday, April 4 around 8:30 p.m.
The juvenile had gunshot wounds in the head, chest, and arms, police said. An officer took him to a neighboring hospital, where he was listed in critical condition and died on Wednesday, April 6 night, reported Fox29.

Police stated the boy was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car. Apparently, someone approached and fired more than a dozen shots into the vehicle.
The 13-year-old boy’s identity remains unknown. There are no arrests yet.
The shooting was the second on Monday, April 4 that resulted in the death of an adolescent. Previously, Juan Carlos Robles, a 15-year-old teen boy was shot to death while heading home from school in North Philly hours before.
According to Philly Police Crime Maps Stats, as of Wednesday, April 6 at 11:59 pm, there were 127 homicide victims in the city, a 2 % rise compared to the same day and hour of 2021.
