The city of Philadelphia has the responsibility of organizing an effective fight against crime in the north central, western and southwest areas where shootings have left dead and wounded including children.
Last week news display “horrifying” titles that report “bullets in the face”, “wounded young woman” or “shooting at a wake”.
Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania and it was once the US capital. According to data offered to the local media by police commissioner Richard Ross, city crime has kept a fast increase compared to 2017 and remains on the rise during 2019 first quarter. Homicides have increased 11% in more than a decade.
Criminalistics experts have warned that consumption and drugs trafficking, crimes against property such as robbery and vandalism, aggressions, corruption and bribes problems have had an impact on the levels of violence.
It is noteworthy that this situation takes place in Philadelphia northwestern area and that the city is not included in the top 25 US most violent cities where Detroit, Michigan is first.
Random bullets
Beyond the violent ranking it is necessary to recreate certain criminal actions that distress the community.

According to the authorities, the minor was taken to the Jefferson Torresdale Hospital Monday morning and took place in the 2000 block Glendale Avenue.
Police reports remain scant and only state that an investigation is open. They also specify that there is a person in custody and that the criminal weapon was recovered.

Execution at a wake
The first is a 17 years rapper, identified as Tauhid “Tata Chapo” Collins who died Friday night on the 5800 block Angora Terrace. Then, moments after the funeral service on Sunday night, in which the mourners gathered to remember him, more shots were heard.
On this occasion, a child under 18 was shot in his neck, ear and temple. His body was found in the 6000 block Angora Terrace, just two blocks from where Collins died.
The police have not made any detentions in relation to any of the three shootings.
