Hispanics In Energy (HIE), the national nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing Hispanic participation in the U.S. energy industry, has announced the addition of three distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Dennis Arriola, Deanna Rodríguez, and Francisco León. These appointments mark a significant step in HIE’s mission to expand Hispanic representation and leadership in a sector that is crucial to the country’s development.
“We are thrilled to welcome these three industry leaders—Dennis Arriola, Deanna Rodríguez, and Francisco León—to our talented board of directors,” said Joe Domínguez, Chairman of HIE. “Our board reflects the diversity of the energy sector and the Hispanic community, with roots in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Argentina.”
Dennis Arriola – Energy and Finance Expert
Dennis Arriola is an Operating Partner at Sandbrook Capital, a global investment firm focused on infrastructure and energy transition. With more than 30 years of experience in the sector, he has held leadership roles at Avangrid, Sempra Energy, and Southern California Gas Co. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for ConocoPhillips, Meritage Homes, and Commercial Metals Company (CMC). His vision and leadership will be instrumental in strengthening HIE’s strategy for sustainability and business growth.

Deanna Rodríguez – Innovation and Community Development
Deanna Rodríguez is the President and CEO of Entergy New Orleans, where she oversees the provision of electric and gas services to more than 211,000 customers. With an impressive background in regulatory affairs and community development, she has led key initiatives such as the creation of the Entergy Charitable Foundation and securing $200 million in funding to support the reconstruction of Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Her leadership will play a critical role in promoting equity and inclusion in the energy sector.

Francisco León – Leadership in Energy Transition
As President and CEO of California Resources Corporation, Francisco León leads the company’s carbon management and energy transition efforts. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council and serves as Vice Chairman of the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA). His expertise in finance and strategic development will strengthen HIE’s ability to navigate the evolving challenges of the energy industry.
