Philadelphia’s Latino community came together for a night of pride, emotion, and celebration at the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, an event that once again highlighted the talent, leadership, and contributions of those working to support the well-being and growth of the Hispanic community.
Held at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, the Hispanic Media gala brought together community leaders, business owners, representatives of local organizations, special guests, and professionals from various fields for an evening where recognition and culture shared the spotlight.
Beyond the tributes and speeches, however, what made the night special was the spirit of the Latino community itself. Its warmth, charisma, and contagious joy turned the gathering into a celebration of identity, heritage, and belonging.
Through greetings, hugs, conversations, and smiles, attendees showed that Hispanic heritage lives not only in family histories and traditions, but also in the way people come together, celebrate one another’s achievements, and build community. That shared energy gave the gala its meaning and served as a reminder that behind every honor are stories of hard work, perseverance, and commitment.

The range of honorees reflected the many ways Latinos contribute to Philadelphia and the importance of recognizing those who open doors, create opportunities, and support people in need through their work in different fields.

A Celebration with Latino Flavor
Entertainment also played a central role in the evening. The energy and enthusiasm kept the crowd engaged and brought guests to the dance floor, turning the gala into a celebration where music, dancing, and good vibes took center stage.
Hosted by Karen Paba and Jenny Rafeh, the evening blended recognition, entertainment, and fellowship, with support from partners including Jefferson, home to Sidney Kimmel Medical College, as Title Sponsor, and PECO, an Exelon company, as Official Sponsor.
Rafeh also featured her podcast, Latin Vibes, during the gala, introducing its content to an audience that included community leaders, business owners, and members of Philadelphia’s Latino community.
The 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month Gala was about much more than a list of award recipients. It offered a glimpse of a community that celebrates its leaders, embraces its roots, and finds its greatest strength in coming together.
