Hispanic Media is honored to present a new edition of the Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, the traditional event that celebrates Latin roots in Philadelphia and honors distinguished personalities from the social, political, cultural, and community spheres.
Hispanic Media and PECO, an Exelon Company, extend a warm invitation to Spanish-speaking individuals and Philadelphia residents in general, to enjoy an exclusive evening presented by Jefferson, Home of Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
The Gala, in this edition hosted by Cata Pérez, Hispanic Media Host, and Isabel Sánchez and Miguel Martínez-Valle, journalists from Telemundo 62 and NBC 10, highlights each year the work done by each of the honorees, who, through their inspiring examples, serve as a bridge to improve the living conditions of immigrants living, working, and thriving in the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas.
The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala 2024 will honor distinguished figures who contribute to the development of the Hispanic community through their work. They are Cynthia Figueroa, president and CEO of JEVS Human Services; Joseph Domínguez, president and CEO of Constellation; Juan López, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at Independence Health Group; Dr. Keith Leaphart, DO, MBA, Enterprise Executive Vice President and Humana Chief Health Equity and Community Impact Officer at Jefferson.
Also honored are Raquel M. Arredondo, Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education; Yocasta Lora, Associate State Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement at AARP Pennsylvania; and Matías Tarnopolsky, president and CEO of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts.
Additionally, PECO, under the leadership of Dave Velázquez, President and CEO, will be recognized as Corporate of the Year.
The distinguished event, featuring musical performances by Funk Salsa Urban and DJ Rumbero, will be held on Saturday, October 12, starting at 6:00 p.m., and will fill the spaces of Live! Casino, at 900 Packer Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148, with Latin spirit.

Hispanic Media se honra en presentar una nueva edición de la Hispanic Heritage Month Gala, el tradicional evento que enaltece las raíces latinas en Philadelphia y exalta a distinguidas personalidades de los ámbitos social, político, cultural y comunitario.
Hispanic Media y PECO, an Exelon Company extienden una cordial invitación a quienes tienen el español como lengua común y a los residentes de Philadelphia en general, para que disfruten de una exclusiva velada presentada por Jefferson, Home of Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
La Gala, en esta edición conducida por Cata Pérez, Hispanic Media Host, e Isabel Sánchez y Miguel Martínez-Valle, periodistas de Telemundo 62 y NBC 10, destaca cada año la labor realizada por cada uno de los homenajeados, quienes, con su inspirador ejemplo, sirven de puente para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los inmigrantes que viven, trabajan y prosperan en la ciudad de Filadelfia y sus alrededores.
