El Concilio is pleased to announce that Ms. Janessa Rivera has been hired as the new Deputy Director.
Ms. Rivera will coordinate and oversee all administrative program functions of Concilio’s Family Social Services and Community Based Services departments.
In addition, Ms. Rivera will work closely with the Executive Director to achieve fundraising goals for the agency in the areas of foundation, government, individual and corporate support.

Janessa Rivera is a Southern New Jersey native raised in the small town of Mays Landing by her 1st generation middle class hardworking Puerto Rican parents.
Rivera earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration of Social Services from William Paterson University, a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing a doctorate for organizational development. Rivera has over 15 years of experience in the social services/human services field specifically working with minority and low to moderate income populations through various nonprofit organizations as well as within the government sector, holding senior management titles for the last 8 years.
Most recently Rivera served as the Chief Program Officer at Burlington Community Action Partnership in Burlington County, NJ.
