The violence in Philadelphia isn’t going away. After a carjacking and shooting in Oxford Circle, Raheem Bell, a 27-year-old community leader in the northeast area, is fighting for his life.
The incident occurred on Sunday, April 10th, in the morning outside Bell’s home on the 1400 E Cheltenham Avenue in Oxford Circle.
Four men attacked Bell, who pulled him out of his 2015 Mercedes-Benz, shot him in the stomach, and fled with his car, according to police.

Bell had one surgery and is currently in serious condition in the ICU.
“He’s a good, upstanding man. He’s a pillar in our community,” said block captain Nneka Burnett to Fox29. “We just want the violence to stop.”
At the time Bell was robbed and shot, there were additional carjackings going on. Police are investigating details of the spate of carjackings.
Police are searching for Bell’s car, a silver 2015 Mercedes-Benz with PA plates LFD-2466.
