Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will hold a Town Hall in Philadelphia on Oct. 15. The event was scheduled after President Donald Trump refused a virtual presidential debate.
Biden will answer questions from voters at the primetime event in Philadelphia. ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos will be the moderator.
Trump’s denial came after the Presidential Debates Commission announced Thursday that it would be held virtually because the president has the coronavirus.
Joe Biden suggested the event be delayed a week until Oct. 22. This is the final debate date.
The chair of the Commission on Presidential Debates says it is not reconsidering shifting the second debate. This came after Trump´s team requested an in-person version.

After Trump pulled out of the virtual event, Joe Biden scheduled his own ABC town hall for the same date in Philadelphia. During the Town Hall he will take questions from voters.
The debate commission has come under scrutiny already during this election after the first debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The reason was the president frequent interruptions of his opponent and the moderator unable to take control.
For Trump, all the talk of contagiousness is an unwelcome disruption. His main effort is to shift focus away from a virus that has killed more than 210,000 Americans this year.
In an interview with Fox Business Trump insisted he was in “great shape” and called the idea of a virtual debate with Joe Biden a “joke.”
Joe Biden: “irresponsible” to answer
Boarding a flight to campaign in Arizona on Thursday, Biden said it would be “irresponsible” for him to comment on Trump’s debate decision.
“We don’t know what the president’s going to do,” Biden said. “He changes his mind every second.”
