A 9-year-old girl died after being shot in Trenton, New Jersey on Friday, March 25 around 7:30 pm, police said.
Apparently, the girl got caught up of a brawl and received a gunshot while the fight developed. The incident happened at Kingsbury Squarearea.
The child was transported to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center Hospital, where she finally dead just before midnight. No more details of what happened have emerged until the writing of this note.

There weren’t other reports of injuries in the incident. The investigation is active and ongoing, according to the prosecutor’s office.
City asks witnessess for help
The Mayor of Trenton, Reed Gusciora, urged the witnesses to a shooting in the Kingsbury Square courtyard to help hold the unknown suspect accountable. The message was posted on Facebook a day after the incident.
A similar message appeared in the City of Trenton Twitter account. “Join in the community effort to stand up to gun violence. Any information you have could help the investigation into the death of a 9-year-old Trenton resident. The tipline is (609) 989-6406,” said the tweet.
