According to an analysis made by Brian Howie , America’s top dating influencer and host of The Great Love Debate, after gathering over 5 years the opinions of 92 thousand singles interviewed in the 50 States of the Union, he created a list where the worst city to be single is Seattle , the least bad for that status It’s Los Angeles; but right in the middle of this disturbing scene is Philadelphia , curiously “the land of fraternal love”.

The Great Love Debate is a weekly dating and relationships podcast of Carolla Digital and Podcast One. It is based on the series of live shows, where Brian Howie meets celebrities every week in the studio with the rest of the “Debate” team: the actress and writer Jill Bartlett, the expert in dating and social networks Kate Edwards, and the most dynamic voices in the world talking about love, dating and relationships.

The Great Love Debate, after making 347 stops in 87 different cities around the world since 2014, revealed that these 10 cities seriously need some advice about love: Seattle, San Jose, Phoenix, Portland, Denver, Philadelphia, Dallas, Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles. The worst of these cities is Seattle, where the dynamics of dating do not work.

The cities on the list are a dream come true for tourist visits, meals and new experiences, however, their classifications in the love department are not so successful. University City

One of the aspects which affects the right conditions to have a serious relationship in Philadelphia, has to do with its character of a University City.

The metropolis is home of thousands of students and numerous institutions of higher education. Most of them play with casual relationships, occasional affairs and adventures. Therefore, most people invest their time in matters that have to do with self-improvement and do not have space for creating a family.

In the meetings of The Great Love Debate in Philadelphia, residents got weak qualifications in the areas of “communication, trust and optimism,” Howie said.

In the most expensive cities, such as those that comprise the ranking, the focus is on work and their residents probably care more about their careers than to the celebration of love. Perhaps the competitive daily stress demands a more lucid mind able to be over the fleeting experience of falling in love.

Una de las variables que incide en torno a lo difícil de crear las condiciones propicias para tener una relación amorosa seria y asentar cabeza en Filadelfia, tiene que ver con su naturaleza de Ciudad Universitaria.

La metrópolis alberga a miles de estudiantes y numerosos establecimientos de enseñanza superior. La mayoría está ganada a relaciones pasajeras, a los amores ocasionales y a las aventuras. Es un grueso importante de la población que invierte su tiempo en asuntos que tienen que ver con la superación personal y no dejan espacio para crear familia.

En los encuentros de The great love debate en Filadelfia, los residentes recibieron escuetas calificaciones en los ámbitos referidos a la “comunicación, confianza y optimismo”, dijo Howie.

Y es que en las ciudades más caras, como las que comprende el ranking, el foco está en el trabajo y sus residentes probablemente se preocupan más de su carrera laboral que en festejar el amor, ya que la presión del día después te exige más estar fresco y lúcido que bajo los efectos de un enamoramiento, que la experiencia de la vida nos asegura puede ser pasajero.
