Danilo Burgos is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, a legislator committed to his community, a tireless fighter, and a defender of family values, education, and economic development.

He was elected to serve his first term in the House of Representatives in 2018, representing neighborhoods in North Philadelphia, including Kensington, Hunting Park, Glenwood, and Feltonville. With this achievement, he became the first Dominican ever elected to serve in the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

Burgos is a first-generation Dominican American, born in New York. His family moved to Philadelphia in 1990, when he was 10 years old. They attended St. Veronica Church and, in the early 1990s, owned a grocery store in Hunting Park. He attended Roberto Clemente Middle School and graduated from Olney High School.

In 1998, he opened his first grocery store in North Philadelphia and, that same year, alongside other owners, co-founded the Dominican Grocers Association of Philadelphia (D.G.A.P.) in collaboration with the Eastern Pennsylvania Organizing Project (EPOP). Since then, the organization has grown to more than 385 members, strengthening local commerce and supporting Latino small business owners.

Before joining the state legislature, Danilo served as Director of Zoning and Business Development for Councilwoman María Quiñones-Sánchez, overseeing the expansion of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Allegheny General Hospital, as well as managing several urban revitalization projects. He also worked as Director of Constituent Services for Councilmember Allan Domb.

A steadfast advocate for his community

As a state legislator, his priorities focus on improving public education and workforce training, reducing unemployment, promoting small-business development, and expanding economic opportunities throughout his district. Burgos is also a strong advocate for criminal justice reform, working to reduce recidivism and offer opportunities for individuals seeking to reintegrate into society.

He has served on the boards of organizations such as the Eastern Pennsylvania Organizing Project, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, White Dog Community Foundation, Projects Without Borders, and Visitation Community Center, and has collaborated with the Congress of United Latinos and The Latino Partnership on various community initiatives.

He currently serves as Chair of the House Committee on Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities; as a board member of the Minority Business Development Authority and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association; and as Director of Voto Latino for the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators.

Burgos aims to offer his constituents not only hope, but the tools needed to achieve success, while challenging stereotypes associated with North Philadelphia and promoting understanding across all districts in Pennsylvania.

His work has been recognized by Hispanic Media and El Sol Latino Newspaper during The Pennsylvania Society’s annual event as “People of the Year 2025,” honoring his excellence and reaffirming his impact and commitment to public life in Pennsylvania.

As a father, his children are his greatest motivation, inspiring him to continue working for a safer, more prosperous, and more united Philadelphia.

Comcast today announced that Xfinity Flex is now included with an Xfinity Internet-only subscription, providing millions of new and existing customers with the ability to easily access their favorite streaming services and manage their connected home devices right on the TV. Xfinity Flex leverages Xfinity X1 technology to deliver a truly differentiated platform and add incredible value for streaming-first Internet customers. Xfinity Flex comes with an Internet-connected, 4K UHD streaming TV device, the award-winning Xfinity Voice Remote, a redesigned guide, and more than 10,000 free movies and TV shows.

“Xfinity Flex gives customers a radically simple, aggregated television experience that personalizes their streaming choices across a sea of apps and services,” said Matt Strauss, Executive Vice President, Xfinity Services, Comcast Cable. “Today’s Internet customers need more than speed—they want wall-to-wall WiFi coverage, simplified control of their connected home, and the best streaming experience. With Xfinity xFi and Xfinity Flex, we are including all of that and more with our Internet service, all in one place, on the best screen in the home.”

The entire Xfinity Flex experience can be navigated and controlled with the Xfinity Voice Remote, and includes:

A personalized guide with universal voice control, featuring a new home page with live, immersive tiles that help customers quickly get back into what they were watching

A new “Free to Me” destination where customers can easily browse more than 10,000 free movies and TV shows, and live streaming including live news and sports, from networks such as ESPN3, Pluto TV, Tubi TV, Xumo, Cheddar, YouTube, Sky News, in addition to all the content included with their streaming subscriptions from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO, Showtime, EPIX, Sling International and soon Peacock and Hulu

A new grid guide that compiles available live programming across networks and apps, and a curated destination for everything new to the platform

The ability to rent and purchase thousands of movies and shows from the digital store and access their digital lockers across platforms by pairing their account with Movies Anywhere

The ability to browse and listen to music from Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and XITE using the voice remote

The ability to easily upgrade to Xfinity TV on X1 from the guide later this year, which offers hundreds of live channels, tens of thousands of on demand titles, and a cloud DVR

Xfinity Flex also provides customers with an easy way to better manage, control and enjoy the connected home by enabling them to easily access their entertainment, find their Wi-Fi password, see what devices are connected to their network, set parental controls, and even pause Wi-Fi access on their home network. They also can use voice control to access their camera feeds, arm or disarm their home security system and find their Xfinity Mobile phone—all on the TV.

An Xfinity Flex box is included, along with the Xfinity Voice Remote, at no additional cost as part of an Xfinity Internet-only subscription.
